At Drumright Dental Center, our doctors will never rush your care and will invest the initial time to truly listen and learn what you want to accomplish through dentistry. Unlike other offices we do not double book so we have only your care on our minds. Because of this you will never have the typical long wait in our reception area.
When you come in for your initial visit please be sure to bring your dental insurance card and arrive early to fill out your initial paperwork if you have not already done so. Please bring a list of any medications you are taking. If you need antibiotics prior to dental work, please take them as prescribed. If you are not sure if you need antibiotics, please contact your doctor prior to your visit.
After a comprehensive evaluation and thorough discussion about your goals, we’ll create a treatment plan designed specifically for you. You can feel free to ask as many questions as you like and we will provide you with as much or as little detail about your treatment as possible. Modern dentistry has come a long way and leaves us with many exciting treatment options. Of course this also means you may have to help in the decision making process. We’ll show you exactly which procedures we recommend and why but ultimately you’ll have the final decision. We respect this because we respect you.
Great dental care doesn’t just make for a fantastic smile, it also helps promote overall health and wellness. If you have a special occasion coming up or just want to brighten your smile, ask us about whitening or other cosmetic dental options. We want you to have the confidence to share your smile with the world!
Your Child’s First Visit
It is recommended that a child have their first dental check-up by the age of 1. Informing your child about their first dental visit is very helpful. At your child’s first visit, we will review the medical/dental health history form with you. We will get to know your child and help them to feel comfortable in the office by explaining what will happen during their visit, and showing them the tools and instruments we will use to help keep their smile healthy.
We encourage parents to accompany their child during their visit. This gives you an opportunity to see us working with your child and allows us to discuss dental findings and treatment needs directly with you. A thorough head and neck examination and evaluation of the teeth and gums are performed. Radiographs (x-rays) are taken only if necessary. If no treatment is needed, the teeth will be cleaned and a fluoride treatment will be provided.
When you come in for your initial visit please be sure to bring your dental insurance card and arrive early to fill out your initial paperwork if you have not already done so. We look forward to meeting you and your child for your first appointment!
